Own
your own Thali
Thali restaurants and the new Thali Too are trend-setting
establishments that are dedicated to changing the preception
of Indian Cuisine in America. Executive
Chef & Owner Prasad Chirnomula is highly respected
by both the food press and the Food and Dining establishment.
In the course of his twenty years in the restaurant
business, he has successfully opened over a dozen
establishments.
The first Thali restaurant was created in New Canaan,
Connecticut in 2001, the second in Ridgefield in 2004,
and the third opened in 2006 in New Haven to the praise
of the New York Times, who gave
the establishment its highly coveted and rarely awarded
rating of "Excellent". Previously, the paper
had pronounced Thali's Sunday Brunch as "..the
best in Connecticut."
As
a relentless and exuberant advocate for Thali and
the Indian cuisine he creates, Chef Chirnomula shares
his secrets in regular cooking classes in locations
throughout Connecticut and new york and frequently
appears in televised demonstrations and food programs.
He was honored in January of 2008 by James Beard House
in New York and responded with a Standing-room-only
dinner at James Beard house.
At Thali, we are very proud of our acceptance and
the dedication of our customers. Through the course
of the journey we've undertaken, we've discovered
a great many devotees of Indian cuisine in general
and Thali in particular and have been constantly bouyed
by their enthusiasm, love and support.
A great many customers and supporters write with suggestions
for locations throughout the world where they believe
Thali and its extraordinary cuisine would make an
impact.
With an eye towards spreading the Thali brand, and
responding to the hundreds of inqiries we've recieved,
we are taking the first exploratory steps of expanding
beyond the borders of Connecticut.
We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic partners
who love the Regional Cuisines of India and are willing
to work hard to spread the enchantment of India to
their own cities and neighborhoods and we
ask that anyone with an interest in acquiring a Thali
restaurant fill in the interactive form to the right
and submit it to us.
Thanks for your interest and support of Thali, we'll
consider all submissions.
